You must be 18 or over to purchase vaping and nicotine products from Square Vapes.
By placing an order for an age restricted product, you confirm that you meet the applicable legal age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
From 29 October 2026, the legal age of sale for all vaping and nicotine products across the UK will be 18. This will apply to online retailers as well as physical retailers.
Why Do We Verify Your Age?
Age verification helps Square Vapes prevent age restricted products from being sold to under 18s.
We may verify your age when:
- You place an order
- You create or use an account
- Your order contains an age restricted product
- The information provided requires further verification
- We need to confirm that an order meets the applicable legal requirements
Our age verification process is designed to help ensure that products are only supplied to eligible customers.
How Does Online Age Verification Work?
When you purchase an age restricted product, we may ask you to complete an age verification check before your order is processed or dispatched.
Depending on the verification process used, you may be asked to provide information such as:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Billing address
- Delivery address
- Identification details
Where additional verification is required, you may also be asked to provide an approved form of identification.
The information required may depend on the verification method being used and the applicable legal requirements.
UK Government guidance states that online retailers must be satisfied that a customer is aged 18 or over before making a sale.
When Might We Ask For Identification?

Providing false information or someone else’s identification may result in the order being refused or cancelled.
What Happens If Age Verification Fails?
If we are unable to verify that you are 18 or over, we will not complete the sale of the relevant age restricted products.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- Place the order on hold
- Request additional verification
- Cancel the affected order
- Refund any payment taken for the cancelled order
A failed verification does not mean that an order will automatically be permanently rejected. Where appropriate, we may provide an opportunity to complete an additional verification check.
Can Someone Buy For A Person Under 18?
No.
You must not purchase vaping or nicotine products from Square Vapes on behalf of anyone who is under 18.
This is known as proxy purchasing.
From 29 October 2026, it will be an offence for a person aged 18 or over to buy or attempt to buy vaping or nicotine products for someone under 18. The restriction will apply to all vaping and nicotine products covered by the legislation.
What Happens If We Suspect An Underage Purchase?
If we have reasonable grounds to believe that an order is being placed by or for someone under the legal age, we may refuse or cancel the order.
We may also request additional age verification before proceeding with an order.
Our priority is to prevent age restricted products from reaching customers who do not meet the applicable legal age requirement.
Age Verification Before Dispatch:
Completing an order on the Square Vapes website does not remove the requirement to verify your age.
An order may remain pending until the required age verification checks have been completed.
Where verification is unsuccessful or cannot be completed, the order may not be dispatched.
Keeping Age Verification Information Accurate:
Customers must provide accurate information during the ordering and verification process.
You should not:
- Enter a false date of birth
- Use another person’s details
- Submit altered identification
- Attempt to bypass an age verification check
- Ask another person to complete verification on your behalf
Attempts to bypass our age verification process may result in an order being cancelled.
